<p>A composition for covering textile spinning rollers comprises an ethylene chloride, calcium polysulphide reaction product and sufficient rubber to prevent cold flow. Suitable proportions are approximately two parts of the olefine-polysulphide plastic to one of a rubber mix. Carbon black may also be added suitably in amount equal to the rubber. A master batch containing rubber, carbon black and sulphur is made, and mixed with the other ingredients, and the whole extruded into sleeves which are vulcanized, buffed, and cemented to metal cores, or the methods for making rollers described in Specification 500,510, [Group VIII], may be employed.</p> |
