An assembly (2) for guiding a cable (25) between a structural part (4) of an aircraft and a movable aerodynamic body (6) comprises a chain of pivotally connected links (10, 16, 26), a first coil device (18) arranged between each pair of the links for guiding the cable (25) between two angular positions, and a second coil device (26) arranged at the first end of the chain for passing the cable from the chain to the aerodynamic body (6). The support of the assembly is statically determinate through the use of a bracket (8) pivotally connected to one of the links (10, 16, 26) at the structural part (4), which bracket (8) does not permit a translative motion relative to the structural part (4). This is further supported by a bearing located at one of the links (10, 16, 26) which is connected to the second coil device (28), which bearing permits angular rotation at least in two orthogonal directions, but no translative motion relative to the aerodynamic body (6).
