A foreign substance detection method of a wireless power transmitting apparatus according to an embodiment of the present invention includes a step of periodically outputting a ping signal for detecting the wireless power transmitting apparatus, a step of detecting an input current for the ping signal, a step of comparing the detected input signal with a predetermined current value, and a step of determining the existence of foreign substances on the surface of the wireless power transmitting apparatus when the detected input current for the ping signal exceeds the predetermined current value. So, the efficiency of wireless charging can be improved. |
