The apparatus (10) has a separating chamber (65) arranged between a suction nozzle (80) and a suction aggregate. A filling device has a filler channel with a filler opening. A dirt fluid tank (25) forms a collecting chamber for separated fluid, where the chamber is arranged below the filler opening relative to an upright position of the apparatus. A backup chamber surrounds the filler channel and receives fluid from the collecting chamber during pivoting of the apparatus from the vertical position. The filler channel and a ventilating channel form a plastic shaped part.
