PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device that has a polarizing plate that hardly discolors in a high-temperature environment.SOLUTION: A liquid crystal display panel 10 is adhered to the rear side of a light-transmissive protective plate 20 with a light-transmissive adhesive A. The liquid crystal display panel 10 includes a liquid crystal cell 11 that has liquid crystal encapsulated between a pair of light-transmissive substrates having a transparent electrode formed thereon, a front side polarizing member 12 that is provided on the front side of the liquid crystal cell 11, and a rear side polarizing member 13 that is provided on the rear side of the liquid crystal cell 11. The front side polarizing member 12 has a water-absorption retardant polarizer support 12b. The water-absorption retardancy of the front-side polarizing member 12 is higher than the water-absorption retardancy of the rear-side polarizing member 13.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 |
