PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To develop a method for efficiently producing a purified polyvinylamine almost free of impurities by a simple operation.SOLUTION: A polyvinylamine can be produced by copolymerizing a N-vinylcarboxylic acid amide and a polyvinyl compound to obtain a crosslinked copolymer, hydrolyzing the crosslinked copolymer to produce a crosslinked polyvinylamine copolymer, removing residual compounds by washing, and performing oxidative degradation. In the case of base hydrolysis, a free-type polyvinylamine is obtained, and in the case of acid hydrolysis, a salt-type polyvinylamine is obtained.SELECTED DRAWING: None |
