POLAR LOOP DISTORTION COMPENSATION CIRCUIT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polar loop distortion compensation circuit capable of successfully performing distortion compensation even for a wideband signal.SOLUTION: An amplitude comparator 3 compares a signal fed back from an amplifier 2 with an amplitude of an input signal. A voltage variable device 6 adjusts the voltage output from the amplitude comparator 3 as the comparison results. A control unit 5 weighs the voltage adjusted by the voltage variable device 6 according to the value detected by a power detector 4 which detects average power of the input signal. A variable gain amplifier 1 provided on a pre-stage side of the amplifier 2 compensates the amplitude distortion of the amplifier 2 using the voltage output from the voltage variable device 6 as control voltage.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
