PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a residual displacement restoration mechanism capable of restoring residual displacement of a structure due to an earthquake or the like and suppressing the cost for installation.SOLUTION: A residual displacement restoration mechanism 1 is provided to a base-insulation structure body (base-insulation structure) 11 having a trench 12 supported by soil G, a liquid 13 held in the trench 12, and a structure 14 arranged in the liquid 13 so as to form a clearance 2 with the trench 12, and displaceable in a horizontal direction relatively to the trench 12, and restores residual displacement of the structure 14 from the trench 12. The clearance 2 is divided into a plurality of sections 3, 3, ..., and the liquid 13 is held in the plurality of sections 3, 3, ..., so that when the structure 14 is arranged at a normal position in the trench 12, water levels are equal to one another. The plurality of sections 3, 3, ..., can deform following up horizontal relative displacement of the trench 12 and structure 14, and the liquid 13 is stopped or suppressed from flowing in and out between adjacent sections 3, 3.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
