PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic photoreceptor capable of obtaining stable electric characteristics even if used in an extended period, as well as capable of suppressing a residual image or scumming at image formation.SOLUTION: An electrophotographic photoreceptor includes: a conductive support medium; and on the conductive support medium, an undercoat layer and a photosensitive layer. The undercoat layer includes a metal oxide particle, a binder resin and a compound containing an urea group. The compound containing an urea group is a compound expressed by a formula 1 below.
