PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydrolyzed eggshell membrane powder having a pH in a predetermined weak acidic range.SOLUTION: There are provided: a hydrolyzed eggshell membrane powder having a pH of 3 to 6: and a method for producing the hydrolyzed eggshell membrane powder, which comprises: (a) a step of hydrolyzing an eggshell membrane in an alkaline aqueous solution; (b) a step of adding an organic acid to the alkaline aqueous solution containing the hydrolyzed eggshell membrane generated in the step (a) to adjust the pH of the solution to 4 to 7; (c) a step of lowering the pH of an aqueous solution having a PH of 4 to 7 containing the hydrolyzed eggshell membrane generated in the step (b) to 3 to 6; and (d) a step of recovering the hydrolyzed eggshell membrane in a powder state from the aqueous solution containing the hydrolyzed eggshell membrane generated in the step (c).SELECTED DRAWING: None
