PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem in which, when a gray correction is performed on an image forming apparatus in a state where CMY color mixture gray is deviated, monochromatic gradation propriety is damaged.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus includes: acquisition means for acquiring a chromaticity value for a gray patch by dividing a density area of an image formed with image forming means, forming a gray patch formed with a toner of CMY for each density area; and generation means for generating a correction value for reducing a chroma value by using obtained chroma value in a first density area corresponding to a patch where a chroma value determined to be less than a threshold is obtained and generating a correction value by performing an interpolation calculation by using correction values generated in the first density area without using an obtained chroma value in a second density area corresponding to a patch where a chroma value determined to be greater than or equal to a threshold is obtained.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 12 |
