FIELD: veterinary medicine.SUBSTANCE: characterised immunogenic composition comprises the peptide of the ribosomal protein P0 of ectoparasites, or a nucleic acid encoding such polypeptide. This peptide is localised between amino acids 267 and 301 of the protein P0, and can be obtained by recombinant methods or chemical synthesis. This peptide can be fused with the protein or peptide carrier or immune carrier and include into an oil composition. The compositions comprising the peptide provide protection against mites, e.g., species of Rhipicephalus microplus, Rhipicephalus sanguineus and Ixodes scapularis and ectoparasites known as "sea lice", such as Caligus and Lepeophtheirus and can be used to control infestation with ectoparasites or the transfer of pathogens associated with them.EFFECT: increase in protection against mites.12 cl, 13 dwg, 5 tbl, 12 ex |
