The present invention relates to a light source unit for backlight, which has an excellent heat dissipation effect, and a liquid crystal display device including the same. The light source unit for a backlight according to the present invention comprises: a heat dissipation sheet; a flexible circuit substrate which is attached onto the heat dissipation sheet; and a plurality of light-emitting diodes which are mounted on the flexible circuit substrate. The heat dissipation sheet may comprise a plurality of slits.
