An electronic device and a control method therefor are disclosed. The electronic device and the control method therefor of the present invention can: extract a feature point from an image photographed through a camera, and convert an image photographed on the basis of the feature point into a three-dimensional image; obtain second location information by correcting first location information received through a location information module according to movement displacement and an orientation direction of the camera; extract an aerial view from the three-dimensional image by using the movement displacement and the orientation direction of the camera; estimate a travel route of a vehicle by using a location of traffic lanes included in the aerial view and the second location information; and combine the photographed image and the travel route of the vehicle so as to exhibit the combined image and route as augmented reality. According to the present invention, accurate location information can be provided during the movement of the vehicle.
