PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pivot hinge with a closing mechanism for a door that offers a low and relatively uniform closing force in a range covering up to a prescribed opening angle, and strong closing force in a final closing stage.SOLUTION: A closing mechanism part is formed by rotatably fitting an integrated columnar cam and a shaft center at a tip side of a frame-side case, and energizing a tip protrusion of a push-in bit onto an outer peripheral surface of the columnar cam with a spring member. The columnar cam has an inclined surface that drastically changes a distance between the shaft center and the outer peripheral surface in a narrow opening angle range, and a curved surface continuing from the inclined surface that gradually increases the distance between the shaft center and the outer peripheral surface per unit opening angle. The columnar cam rotates when a door is opened, and the tip protrusion of the push-in bit moves by being pushed by the inclined surface and the curved surface and while largely deflecting the spring member. When left in a prescribed opening range, the door slowly starts closing, and even greater closing force is obtained in a final closing stage.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
