PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a user to input operation to a screen processing device quickly, and enable the screen processing device to execute an appropriate process that corresponds to operation on a touch panel.SOLUTION: A user starts operation by touching a point P01 on a screen IMG01. The content detected by an MFP upon start of operation is a "press" at the point P01 regardless of whether the operation intended by the user is a swipe operation or a touch operation. Upon detecting the "press" at the point P01, the MFP executes control to be performed when a touch operation at the point P01 occurs, i.e., it displays a screen IMG02. Then, when the operation terminates without the swipe operation being detected, the MFP fixes the display of the touch panel to the screen IMG02, and waits for next operation. Meanwhile, when a swipe operation is detected subsequent to the press, the MFP switches the display of the touch panel from the screen IMG02 to a screen IMG03.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6 |
