1. A simulation device, comprising:
(a) a frame comprising a trunnion extending from a first portion of the frame to define a first axis; (b) a capsule having a first end rotatably coupled to the trunnion about the first axis, the trunnion supporting a first end of the capsule, the capsule comprising a support assembly having an arcuate surface; (c) a drive assembly coupled to a second portion of the frame, the drive assembly comprising:
(1) a support bearing supportingly engaging the arcuate surface; and(2) an actuator operably engaging the capsule to selectively rotate the capsule about the first axis; and (d) a motion platform, comprising:
(1) a first arm rotatably coupled at a first end to the frame and rotatable about a fixed second axis; and(2) a second arm rotatably coupled to the frame and rotatably coupled to a drive element, the drive element being rotatable about a fixed third axis, wherein the drive element is configured to be rotatable independent of the first arm to rotate the frame while the first arm maintains a fixed position. |
