A refractive optical system (160) is positioned along the optical path from a display surface (111) to a perspective region (300), and between a projection optical system (120) and the perspective region (300). A housing (140) houses a display device (110), the projection optical system (120) and the refractive optical system (160), and has an opening (130) formed therein. An opening cover (131) has a curved section in at least one section thereof, and is positioned in the opening (130) in a manner such that light emitted from the display surface (111) is incident on the convex-surface side of the curved section. Given that a light beam emitted from the center of the display surface (111) and extending to the center of the perspective region (300) is a reference light beam (Lc), the head-up display (100) satisfies a condition (1).
