PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gargle or a gargle for internal use which contains rebamipide for use in stomatitis therapy associated with radiotherapy or cancer chemotherapy, has a higher effect on securing of dispersibility and on prevention of aggregation which are the subjects in high concentration, as well as on stomatitis, while increasing the concentration of rebamipide and increasing the adhesion to the oral mucosa, and which is easy for a patient to use.SOLUTION: The invention provides a pharmaceutical composition for use in the prevention and/or treatment of oral mucosal disorders, wherein 10-50 mg/mL of rebamipide with a mean particle diameter of less than 500 nm is contained as an active ingredient, at least one kind of dispersant is contained, at least one kind of viscosity enhancer is contained, and the drug solution viscosity is within the range of 10-500 mPa s. Preferably, the average particle diameter of rebamipide is less than 300 nm, the content thereof is 20-40 mg/mL, and the drug solution viscosity is 20-300 mPa s.
