PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a user who comes close to a device in a power saving mode from being puzzled or performing erroneous operation due to the situation in which the user cannot judge which place the user should operate first or whether the place is in an operable state.SOLUTION: A device has a plurality of operation modes at least including a normal power mode and a power saving mode with smaller power consumption than the normal power mode. The device comprises: a human sensor for detecting a person within a prescribed range from the device; communication means for wirelessly communicating with an external apparatus placed before the device; first guide display means for indicating a position where the external apparatus should be placed by turning on lights; and control means that, if the human sensor detects a person during the power saving mode, controls the communication means so as to shift it into the state of being capable of communicating with the external apparatus, and controls the first guide display means so as to turn on lights.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5 |
