PHYTOCHEMICAL EXTRACTS FROM THERMOPSIS RHOMBIFOLIA WITH ANTI-CANCER PROPERTIES, AND COMPOSITIONS THEREOF

A method for providing an extract from Thermopsis rhombifolia, wherein the extract is effective for inhibiting cancer. The method comprises the steps of (i) grinding vegetative matter from the Thermopsis rhombifolia; (ii) contacting the ground vegetative matter with an organic solvent thereby producing a soluble fraction; (iii) separating the soluble fraction from the ground vegetative matter therein; and (iv) drying the filtered soluble fraction to remove the organic solvent therefrom, thereby forming the extract.
