Provided are a gas treatment method and gas treatment device with which it is possible to perform, at a high NOx removal efficiency, reduction treatment of the nitric oxide contained in a gas to be treated at a temperature much lower than 900ºC. The gas treatment method of the present invention is a gas treatment method for treating a gas to be treated containing NOx, characterized in comprising a step for UV ray exposure of a mixed gas obtained by mixing ammonia with the gas to be treated, wherein the ratio of ammonia to nitric oxide in the mixed gas is 1.5 or greater by molar ratio. |
