A fastener stringer (10) according to the invention is provided with a fixing section (21a, 22a, 41a) in which at least one of a first and second half sections (21, 22, 41, 42) is fixed to a fastener tape (11) and a tapered extending section (21b, 22b, 41b) which extends from the fixing section (21a, 22a, 41a) toward the outside of the tape. A first side face and a second side face in the tape length direction in the fixing section (21a, 22a, 41a) have concave surfaces (21c, 22c, 41c) which curve in a concave shape so as to gradually increase from an element surface (25, 45) of a fastener element (20, 40) toward the fastener tape (11). Accordingly, each fastener element (20, 40) can exhibit an appearance close to a metallic fastener element (20, 40) and a locking mechanism of a slider (30) can be made to function stably. |
