A crop processing roller assembly for an agricultural harvesting machine such as a forage harvester or combine harvester is provided. A roller has a main cylindrical body portion (101) supported for rotation about a support shaft (34). The cylindrical body portion (101) is formed from plastics material and carries crop processing members at circumferentially spaced locations around the body portion. A foreign object detector means (4) is disposed within scanning range of the cylindrical body portion (101), suitably within the roller. |
