A method of accessing a remote resource from a data processing device for providing a rich user interface on a client device comprises pushing first data comprising user interface (UI) resources from the device to the remote resources; generating second data, comprising operational data, on the data processing device, and pushing this second data to the remote resource. The method may further comprise obtaining an identifier (e.g. a uniform resource locator URL) corresponding to the remote resource , obtaining secret data corresponding to the identifier, and generating an obscured identifier (e.g. an obscured URL) using the secret data, and pushing the data to the remote resource using the obscured identifier. The first and second data may be encrypted at the data processing device; and may be cached at an intermediate network node between the data processing device and the remote resource. |
