A workpiece-attachment-information reporting device (10) is equipped with: a range-setting unit (13) for setting a movable range in a prescribed feed-shaft direction of a work machine; a position-orientation-setting unit (14) for setting the attachment position or orientation of a workpiece; a route-setting unit (12) for setting a tool route on the basis of the attachment position or orientation of a workpiece; a range calculation unit (15) for calculating the operational range in the prescribed feed-shaft direction of a work machine, given that the tool has moved relative to the workpiece along the tool route; a target-position-orientation calculation unit (16) for obtaining the target attachment position or orientation of the workpiece with the calculated operational range being within the movable range; and a reporting unit (6) for reporting the target attachment position or orientation. |
