The present invention relates to a biodegradable ceramic fiber composition as a high temperature insulator comprising 58ˆ¼67% by weight of SiO 2 , 26ˆ¼34% by weight of CaO, 2ˆ¼8% by weight of MgO, 0ˆ¼1% by weight of Al 2 O 3 , 0ˆ¼5% by weight of B 2 O 3 , 0ˆ¼3% by weight of Na 2 O+K 2 O and 1% by weight or less of an impurity selected from TiO 2 or Fe 2 O 3 . The present invention is characterized by having a coefficient of linear shrinkage during heating (maintained at 1100°C for 24 hours) of 3% or less as well as a dissolution rate constant in artificial body fluid of 700 ng/cm 2 hr or higher. In addition, compared to known biodegradable ceramic fibers, the ceramic fiber according to the present invention has improved solubility in artificial body fluid. Despite inhalation into the body, the ceramic fiber composition may be easily dissolved and removed, thus avoiding harmful effects. |
