PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To present a recommended travel velocity to a driver so as to be intuitively easy for the driver to understand.SOLUTION: A drive assist device 10 changes relative positions of a vehicle icon C and a range display icon L on the basis of a difference between an actual travel velocity Vα of a vehicle and a recommended travel velocity Vβ. That is, when the difference between the actual travel velocity Vα and the recommended travel velocity Vβ is within a predetermined range, the vehicle icon C is displayed generally at the center of a range W indicated by the range display icon L, when the actual travel velocity Vα is higher than the recommended travel velocity Vβ by the difference exceeding the predetermined range, the vehicle icon C is displayed on a side deviated in the travel direction from the center of the range W indicated by the range display icon L, and when the actual travel velocity Vα is lower than the vehicle and a recommended travel velocity Vβ by the difference exceeding the predetermined range, the vehicle icon C is displayed on a side deviated in the opposite direction to the travel direction from the center of the range W indicated by the range display icon L.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
