PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pipe joint with which pipes are connected by inserting a pipe on an upstream side into a pipe, and inserting the pipe into a pipe on a downstream side, the pipe joint preventing deformation of a trunk part when inserting the pipe into the pipe on the downstream side, but not hindering insertion of the pipe on the upstream side.SOLUTION: A pipe joint 1 of the embodiment is made of an elastic material such as rubber and silicon, and a rigid part 5 is formed on an outer periphery of a cylindrical trunk part 2, the rigid part being a rib extending roughly in parallel with an axial direction of the trunk part 2. The rigid part 5 makes the trunk part 2 highly rigid against pressure exerted roughly in parallel with the axial direction, but not against pressure exerted in a roughly perpendicular direction to the axial direction. Thus, deformation of the trunk part 2 is prevented, but the trank part 2 is deformed appropriately when the pipe on the upstream side is inserted, and insertion into the pipe on the downstream side is facilitated.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
