PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical fiber fusion connector and optical fiber fusion connecting apparatus capable miniaturizing and trimming weight of V-groove bases and a stationary base, while suppressing an occurrence of strain in the stationary base.SOLUTION: The optical fiber fusion connector comprises: a pair of left/right V-groove bases 2A and 2B having a V-groove 21; a pair of elastic members 3A and 3B for supporting the pair of V-groove bases 2A and 2B; a stationary base 4 to which the pair of V-groove bases 2A and 2B are fixed via the pair of elastic members 3A and 3B; and a pair of micrometers 5A and 5B for pressing the pair of V-groove bases 2A and 2B to align the tip ends with each other. The pair of elastic members 3A and 3B are configured to extend upward, while inclining from a stationary basal part 41 of the stationary base 4 in the longitudinal direction respectively, and displaced in the horizontal direction of the stationary base 4. An interval L1 of one ends 3a and 3a of the pair of elastic members 3A and 3B fixed to the stationary base 41 is configured smaller than an interval L2 of the other ends 3b and 3b fitted to the pair of V-groove bases 2A and 2B.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
