PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polarizing plate which has excellent adhesiveness to a polarizer and includes a protective layer having high durability; and an image display device including the polarizing plate.SOLUTION: A polarizing plate includes: a polarizer; and a protective layer which is arranged on at least one surface of the polarizer and is formed of a cured product of a resin composition containing an aromatic epoxy compound. The protective layer contains a rigid aromatic epoxy resin obtained by curing the resin composition containing the aromatic epoxy compound, and thereby can achieve high elastic modulus and high durability and can improve adhesiveness to the polarizer.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
