PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To adjust the fundamental frequency of a voice while maintaining microprosody.SOLUTION: A fundamental frequency pattern estimation unit (16) estimates the fundamental frequency pattern of a voice corresponding to text using hidden Markov model information corresponding to the text. A fundamental frequency change unit (18, 20) changes the fundamental frequency value of a designated portion in the estimated fundamental frequency pattern to a value that corresponds to designated accent strength. A re-estimation unit (22) re-estimates, using the hidden Markov model information, the fundamental frequency pattern that corresponds to the text and whose fundamental frequency value of the designated portion assumes the changed value.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
