PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress a phenomenon of yellow discoloration in a screen nearer to a light source.SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display device includes a liquid crystal display panel and a backlight: the backlight includes a light guide plate 10 and white LEDs 21 arrayed in a first direction on an incidence surface 11 of the light guide plate 10. The white LED 21 has a region in the center along the above first direction of a light-emitting surface, the region where blue spectra are more present than in either side of region. An incidence surface projection 111 extending in a thickness direction of the light guide plate 10 is formed in a part of the incidence surface 11 of the light guide plate 10, the part corresponding to the region where the blue spectra are more present in the LED 21.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 15A |
