PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To select automatically a surface to be processed, when a workpiece W is mechanically processed by an NC lathe.SOLUTION: Differently from mechanical processing of a workpiece W, a chuck 1 is rotated around a main shaft 5, and a saddle 10 is moved in the X-axis direction, and a projection body 12 and a push bar 2 are face to each other in the Z-axis direction. Thereafter, the saddle 10 is moved in the Z-axis direction, and the projection body 12 is allowed to butt at the push bar 2, and the push bar 2 is moved by the projection body 12.
