PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle body structure with a tail gate that when the tail gate is deformed by a collision load, can prevent the deformed tail gate from interfering with a latch device.SOLUTION: The vehicle body structure with a tail gate comprises a tail gate 15 that opens/closes a rear part opening 13, a striker 19 provided in the tail gate 15 and a latch device 18 that engages with the striker 19; and also comprises a rear lower frame 47, formed in a closed cross sectional shape, which forms a rear lower edge part 16 at a rear part 11a of a vehicle 11 and extends continuously in a vehicle width direction. Further, a frame rear end part 47b of the rear lower frame 47 is provided at a front side of the vehicle of the tail gate 15, and the latch device 18 is provided closer to the front side of the vehicle than the frame rear end part 47b of the rear lower frame 47.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 12 |
