A sweat pad 1 having an absorption pad 2 that comprises a layer of absorbent material (11, figure 3) sandwiched between first and second layers (10, 12, figure 3) of liquid wicking material, wherein the first layer of liquid-wicking material (10, figure 3) is configured to contact a wearers skin when the sweat pad is in use; the layer of absorbent material (11, figure 3) is configured to act as a reservoir; and the second layer of liquid-wicking material (12, figure 3) is configured to wick moisture from the reservoir (11, figure 3) and release it from the sweat pad 1; characterized in that the first and second layers (10, 12, figure 3) of liquid-wicking material comprise bamboo fibre. The underarm sweat pad 1 may comprise a shoulder strap 3 extending from the absorption pad 2 and configured to loop over a wearers shoulder (18, figure 4) so as to retain the absorption pad 2 in position in a wearers armpit; a fastening 16, 17 located on the strap 3 adapted to attach the strap 3 to a bra strap (20, figure 4) of the wearer. |
