PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication apparatus and communication apparatus control method capable of correctly performing communication without erroneously recognizing the state of a telephone line.SOLUTION: A main control section 7 outputs an instruction to connect a telephone line with a maintenance center to a network control section 9 when a service mode communication instruction is received from an operation section 8, receives a result of measurement performed when service mode communication was established via the network control section 9 from the network control section 9 and stores the result as line connection voltage information, determines the closed state of a line and the open state of the line during a line exchange by comparing the measurement result from the network control section 9 with the line connection voltage information, and prevents the erroneous operation of an apparatus that can occur in facsimile communication. |
