The present invention relates to a continuous variable valve duration apparatus which may vary an opening duration of a valve. The continuous variable valve duration apparatus comprises: a camshaft; first and second cam portions in which two cams are formed, into which the camshaft is inserted, which are respectively provided in a cylinder and another neighboring cylinder and include a cam cap coupling portion between the two cams, wherein relative phases of the cams with respect to the cams are variable, first and second inner brackets delivering rotation of the camshaft to the first and second cam portions; a slider housing into which the first and second inner brackets are inserted to be able to slide, a relative position of which with respect to the camshaft is variable, and which has a guide protrusion portion formed at an upper part thereof; a cam cap on which the cam cap coupling portion of each of the cam portions is mounted to be able to rotate; a coupling bracket which combines the cam caps and includes a guide slot into which the guide protrusion portion is inserted to guide movement of the slider housing while the slider housing moves; and a control portion which selectively changes a position of the slider housing. |
