In a camera system 1, a lens device 10 includes an image formation optical system including a movable lens group 12 and a correction lens group 12, 14 whose position relative to the optical axis is changed so that the optical performance of each portion of an image is corrected. Further, the camera body 40 includes: a specification section 70 for specifying a partial image of a part of region in the image acquired by the image capturing element 42; a storage section 28 for storing a data table in which correspondence is established between position information of both of the movable lens group and the correction lens group and optical performance of each portion of the image; and a control section for, in accordance with the lens positions of the movable lens groups, on the basis of the data table, acquiring a position for the correction lens group that improves the optical performance of the partial image specified by the specification section and then performing control such as to move the correction lens group to the acquired position. |
