The purpose of the present invention is to prevent production of sulfateion by breakdown of an ionomer in a drying process during the production of electrode catalytic layers. According to an embodiment of the present invention, provided is a method for producing a membrane electrode assembly on which an electrode catalytic layer is formed on a surface of an electrolyte membrane. The electrode catalytic layer formed on the membrane electrode assembly is produced by a drying process which includes a step of drying, at a certain temperature, a catalyst-supported particle on which catalytic metal is supported, a solvent, and catalytic ink containing the ionomer. The catalytic ink contains several kinds of solvents having the different boiling point, wherein the certain temperature is set below the boiling point of the solvent which has the lowest boiling point,. |
