PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to acquire data used for blade damage determination and to determine whether a blade serving as a damage inspection target is damaged without attaching a sensor to the blade.SOLUTION: A blade damage determination apparatus 10 comprises: blade detection units 5a to 5d each repeatedly detecting blades of a rotating body which is rotating that have come to a blade-detection stationary position through which the blades repeatedly pass; a time measuring unit 7 measuring elapsed time; a blade-detection-time-data generation unit 9 generating blade detection time data identifying time at which each of the blade detection units 5a to 5d repeatedly detected the blades on the basis of the repeated blade detection performed by the blade detection units 5a to 5d and the elapsed time measured by the time measuring unit 7; characteristic-data generation unit 11 generating vibration characteristic data for determination on the basis of the blade detection time data; a storage unit 13 storing standard vibration characteristic data determined in advance for a determination standard blade; and a damage determination unit 15 determining whether a determination target blade is damaged by comparing the vibration characteristic data for determination with the standard vibration characteristic data.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
