摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle drive unit which is improved in the efficiency of regenerative power generation at deceleration while engine power and motor power are integrated by a differential case at powering.SOLUTION: In a vehicle drive unit 1 having an engine 10 and a motor 60 as traveling drive sources, a differential case 53 of a differential device 50 includes a first divided member 51 communicating with the engine 10, and a second divided member 52 communicating with the motor 60 and drive wheels 94a, 94b, and a wet clutch 54 which connects or separates the first divided member 51 and the second divided member 52 to/from each other is arranged. When regenerating deceleration energy at the deceleration of a vehicle, and generating power by the motor 60, the wet clutch 54 separates the first divided member 51 and the second divide member 52 from each other. A oneway clutch 55 is further arranged which fastens both the members 51, 52 when a rotational speed of the first divided member 51 is not lower than a rotational speed of the second divided member 52, and releases both the members 51, 52 when the rotational speed of the first divided member is lower than the rotational speed of the second divided member.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
