PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for regenerating function of a rotor while avoiding the deterioration of the function of the rotor in itself.SOLUTION: A gas treatment device includes: a freely rotatable rotor which forms a first ventilation zone for constituting a part of a first ventilation path and adsorbing a substance contained in passage gas and a second ventilation zone for constituting a part of a second ventilation path and regenerating a function of the first ventilation zone and is arranged over the first ventilation path and the second ventilation path; a supply part for supplying a predetermined gas which is thermally decomposed to generate active species having oxidizing power to the second ventilation path; and a heating part which is disposed on the upstream side of the second ventilation zone of the second ventilation path, heats the predetermined gas and generates the active species. Further, in the second ventilation zone, the substance adsorbed on the rotor is decomposed by the active species.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
