PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce load caused by swinging rotation of a roll to the roll and a roll support device in a cast slab support apparatus 1 for continuous casting comprising a slab supporting roll 2 and a back-up roll 3, and prevent roll wear and reduction of roll life caused by scale peeled off from the cast slab.SOLUTION: In a cast slab support apparatus for continuous casting, an angle θ in a roll rotation direction 12 is defined rotating on a rotation center of the cast slab supporting roll 2. A cast slab contact position 14 of the cast slab supporting roll 2 is θ=0°. When fluid is directly injected from a fluid injection nozzle 4 to the surface of the cast slab supporting roll 2, a position where the liquid collides with the surface of the cast slab supporting roll is in a range within θ=0-180°. A water amount density colliding with the surface of the cast slab supporting roll is preferably 50 L/min mor more per area of the roll surface.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
