PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a development device capable of preventing a developer from being discharged regardless of the fact that the amount of a developer in a developer conveyance path is not increased; and an image forming apparatus comprising the development device.SOLUTION: A development device 4 comprises a development roller 5 that is a developer carrier for carrying a developer on the surface thereof, and an agitation screw 11 that is a developer conveyance member for conveying by rotation of a developer in an agitation conveyance path 10 that is a developer storage part for storing a developer to be supplied to the development roller 5. In the device, there is provided a discharge port 141 that is a developer discharge port for discharging a developer to the outside of the device at a prescribed height of an agitation side wall 136 that is a storage part forming wall for forming the agitation conveyance path 10. In the device, there is disposed a discharge prevention sheet 121 that is a diffusion developer discharge prevention member for blocking a path by which a developer diffused by the conveyance operation of the agitation screw 11 goes toward the discharge port 141, in such a manner as to contact with the agitation screw 11.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
