PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating remover for an optical fiber capable of removing an inner coating layer and an outer coating layer so as to have a stepped shape in one removal step.SOLUTION: A coating remover 100 for removing coating of a terminal part of an optical fiber comprises a base part 10, and a pair of arm parts 40 extending in one direction from the base part 10. Each of the arms 40 includes an operation part 42 provided at the tip end side and a deformation part 41 provided at the base part side and making a pair of operation parts 42 close to each other by elastic deformation. The pair of operation parts 42 have a pair of first holding pairs 45 and a pair of second holding pairs 46 provided inside, facing each other so that the tip ends face each other, and arranged forward and backward. In the state in which the optical fiber placed in a forward and backward direction is held between the first holding pairs 45 and the second holding pairs 46, the distance between the tip ends of the first holding pairs 45 is shorter than the distance between the tip ends of the second holding pairs 46.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
