PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an active matrix display device capable of reducing contrast failure or display unevenness at a point starting a display period while reducing the cost and undesired electric power consumption.SOLUTION: A timing control unit 53 in a timing controller 58 is configured so that an image display control signal 3 which is output to a source driver 56 is output first for a predetermined period of time from end point of a vertical blanking period Td.
