PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for manufacturing an optical waveguide device excellent in reproducibility and mass productivity.SOLUTION: A hybrid mixer 900 includes, on an optical waveguide substrate having a grid-like dummy pattern with a predetermined pitch, a 1×2MMI901 formed of a connection of a first distribution optical waveguide 903 outputting one of signal lights 1 as first lights as a second light and a second distribution optical waveguide 902 outputting the other of the signal lights 1 as a third light, a second branch element 1×2MMI902 formed of a connection of a third distribution optical waveguide 904 outputting one of local emitting lights 2 as fourth lights as a fifth light and a fourth distribution optical waveguide 906 outputting the other of the local emitting lights 2 as a sixth light, a 2×2MMI907 interfering the second and fifth lights, and a 2×2MMI908 interfering the third and sixth lights.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
