PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical writing control device, an image formation apparatus and an optical writing control method which can reduce instantaneous power consumption at the time of light emission control of a plurality of linear light sources in time-division light emission of dividing a light emitting element included in a linear light source into a plurality of groups and shifting the timing by each group to perform light emission for one line.SOLUTION: An optical writing control device performs one light emission control of an LEDA print head by sequentially performing light emission control of a plurality of LED elements divided into a plurality of groups for each group to form an electrostatic latent image corresponding to an image for one line of main scan lines, and outputs STRBs at different timing so that the plurality of LEDA print heads corresponding to respective colors of CMYK emit light in mutually-different periods.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 17
