Disclosed are a double wall pressure vessel and a manufacturing method thereof. According to the present invention, the double wall pressure vessel comprises a heat insulating layer in an inner tub and an outer tub, and between the inner tub and the outer tub. The double wall pressure vessel storing liquefied gas comprises: a cylindrical body wherein an outer tub is formed to be thicker than an inner tub; and a head formed in both end portions of the body. The inner tub comprises: a first inner tub body and a second inner tub body which are spaced from each other in a circumferential direction; and a plurality of connection members connecting the first inner tub body and the second inner tub body. According to the present invention, provided are the double wall pressure vessel and the manufacturing method thereof, wherein even if a heat insulating layer is attached to an internal side of the outer tub for the inner tub to be coupled, an outer circumferential surface of the inner tub easily adheres to an inner circumferential surface of the heat insulating layer to be installed.
